Cavs' James, Warriors' Curry top first NBA All-Star balloting

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James
 A year ago with the Miami Heat, LeBron James
finished as the leading vote-getter for the NBA All-Star Game.
This year the "King" is tops again for the mid-season extravaganza,
this time with another team.
James, who returned to the Cleveland Cavaliers, is the overall
leader, with 552,967 votes after the first results of the
fan-balloting were released Thursday by the league.
James is followed closely by Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry,
the top-vote-getter in the Western Conference, with 549,095 ballots.
James is joined in the Eastern Conference frontcourt by New York's
Carmelo Anthony with 265,170 votes and Spanish star Pau Gasol of
Chicago, with 247,554.
Washington's John Wall and Miami's Dwyane Wade are currently the top
guards, with 299,209 and 265,917 votes, respectively.
Curry is currently paired in the West backcourt with LA Lakers'
16-time All-Star Kobe Bryant, with 521,542 votes.
New Orleans' Anthony Davis, with 524,623 votes, LA Clippers' Blake
Griffin, with 307,908 and Spaniard Marc Gasol of Memphis, with 227,
554 pace the frontcourt.
Voting ends Monday, Jan. 19 and the starters will be announced three
days later.
The 64th NBA All-Star Game will be played February 15 at famed New
York City's Madison Square Garden, home of the Knicks.
