Arsenal bolstered their defence by completing the
signing of Gabriel Paulista from Villarreal.
Arsenal were granted a work permit earlier this week for the
24-year-old, who mainly plays centre-back but can also be used at
fullback.
Gabriel played 50 times in his one-and-a-half seasons with Villarreal
after arriving from Esporte Club Vitoria in his native Brazil.
Arsenal striker Joel Campbell will join Villarreal on a season-long
loan as part of the deal. The 22-year-old signed a new long-term
contract with the Gunners before making the move.
